Conister appoints Mark Hayman as executive director
Conister Finance & Leasing Ltd (Conister), the wholesale lending and broker division of Conister Bank Limited (CBL), today announces the appointment of Mark Hayman as its new executive director.
His appointment follows that of Marcus Gregory, his co-founding partner of Bluestar, who was appointed as an executive director in May to lead Conister’s broker division. Alongside his appointment as executive director, Mark Hayman will continue in his role as managing director of Bluestar.
Mark Hayman brings over 20 years’ experience working across the supply chain within the asset finance and commercial loans sectors, having co-founded a privately owned leasing brokerage in 2007, Bluestar. The core business of Bluestar is working within the small and medium sized enterprise (SME) marketplace, typically arranging lease agreements for business equipment supplied by reseller partners.
Mark Hayman’s work at Bluestar in delivering strategy for the sales team and supplier accounts was instrumental in the significant growth in revenue that the brokerage achieved, rising from £2m in 2007 to £14m in April 2019, when the company was acquired by Conister’s parent company, AIM-listed Manx Financial Group PLC.
Mark Hayman’s role as executive director will be advisory in nature, offering Conister expertise and oversight whilst remaining in his current position as managing director at Bluestar. His previous experience across the supply chain will support Conister in augmenting relationships within the finance and lending industry, particularly in developing supplier accounts.
