Deloitte strengthens North West practice with over 120 graduates and apprentices

Deloitte’s North West practice has welcomed 121 new people to its award-winning graduate, BrightStart apprenticeship and industrial placement programmes in Manchester and Liverpool.  

The cohort marks the highest intake of graduates and apprentices outside of London.

All new starters took part in a firm-wide virtual induction into the world of professional services, in which they were introduced to Deloitte’s innovative GenAI platform and participated in networking events with colleagues. In-person, technical induction tailored to their specific business areas followed.

This year’s intake spans across Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance, and Tax & Legal as well as the firm’s consultative business areas: Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory; and Technology & Transformation.

Across the UK, the firm has hired approximately 1,400 graduates and apprentices, with 43% based outside of London. This comes after Deloitte’s graduate programme was ranked fourth in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employer list for the fifth year running.

A year ago, Deloitte North west moved to its landmark new office at 100 Embankment. The 85,300 sq. ft space has doubled the practice’s workspace and provided it with the capacity to continue expanding across the region, with the team now including over 1,600 employees.

Designed in collaboration with Deloitte’s people, the new starters will begin their careers in a state-of-the-art workplace with access to cutting-edge facilities and collaborative spaces that support professional growth and wellbeing.

In the last year 365 people were promoted across the region while Deloitte recently announced the creation of a dedicated technology centre in Manchester which aims to create 100 new tech roles over the next three years.
