Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance announces double promotion in Cardiff
Dow Schofield Watts (DSW) Corporate Finance has announced two promotions within its Cardiff team, recognising the contributions of Benjamin Nix and Joshua Morris to the team’s continued growth and success across Wales and the South West.

Benjamin Nix has been promoted from associate to senior associate, reflecting his growing role in leading transactions and managing deal processes. Since joining DSW in September 2024, Ben has become an integral member of the Cardiff team, taking increasing ownership of transactions, developing strong relationships with clients and professional advisers, and playing a key role in the successful delivery of deals. He is also working towards his ACA qualification.
Joshua Morris has been promoted from analyst to senior analyst, reflecting his rapid professional development since joining DSW nearly 2 years ago. Josh has demonstrated strong technical capabilities, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to transaction delivery, taking on increasing responsibility across the firm’s mandates. His promotion follows the recent successful completion of his ACCA chartered accountancy qualification.
Josh’s growth builds on his previous successes that started whilst at university. From Exeter University, Josh co-founded a neurotechnology company developing AI-based technology to monitor head impacts and their relationship with cognitive acuity, earning a place on the Business Insider 42 Under 42 list.
Koo Aseeley, partner at Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance, said: “Both Ben and Josh have made vital contributions to the continued growth of our Cardiff team, and these promotions are thoroughly deserved. Ben has developed into a trusted adviser to our clients, taking an increasingly leading role in transactions, while Josh has made impressive progress both technically and commercially, bringing energy and perspective to the team. It’s been hugely rewarding to see them develop, and I look forward to seeing them continue to progress as we build the business.
“This is all about ensuring we have the best expertise to support mid-market businesses across the region, continuing to develop a team with a wide range of experience and cross-sector knowledge. We’ve already had a busy year, and are primed to support more owner-managers through a variety of deals during the coming years.”
