Duncan & Toplis director chosen as vice-chair of accountancy ethics committee
An East Midlands accountant and ethics adviser has been appointed vice-chair of the ICAEW Ethics and Advisory Committee.
Stuart Brown, who has been a member of the ICAEW’s Ethics Advisory Committee since 2021 and the organisation’s Members and Commercial Board since 2023, is also a director and head of technical and compliance at Lincolnshire-based Duncan & Toplis, one of the largest accountancy and business advisers in the Midlands.
He will serve as the Ethics Advisory Committee’s vice-chair for the next three years.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) is a professional membership organisation for 208,000 chartered accountants and students in 146 countries. Its Ethics Advisory Committee helps to develop new guidance for the profession, as well as reviewing cases, taking part in consultations, and providing feedback and recommendations to other committees.
