eCapital Commercial Finance expands new business team in the South West
eCapital Commercial Finance (eCapital), a leading invoice financier, have announced the appointment of Matthew Penny to the role of regional sales manager. Based in Newport, Matthew, will be responsible for working with businesses and their financial advisors across Bristol and the South West region to ensure that they have access to essential cashflow based funding solutions.
Matthew joins the team following a period of continued growth for eCapital as firms seek funding surety to help them face the ongoing challenging economic environment. eCapital, having remained committed to delivering bespoke working capital solutions to businesses for over 20 years and funding over £4bn worth of invoices, now supports the cashflow ambitions of over 1200 SME clients.
Matthew brings more than 15 years’ financial sector experience to eCapital, enjoying a very impressive start to his career within the NatWest Group which stretched across multiple disciplines including operations and sales. Latterly he enjoyed notable success as a business development manager with RBSIF before moving into a further dynamic sales role within their new to market Rapid Cash team.
As Matthew comments on his appointment: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join eCapital. They have impressed me with their drive and determination to achieve an ambitious strategic plan which is reflected in the amount of funding they provide to their growing client base.
As an independent funder in the market, they stand out for their can-do attitude to doing business and with larger funding pools they can offer UK businesses funding solutions of up to £3m. It’s currently a very challenging economic environment for businesses and so it’s vital that they are empowered by having an easy, uncomplicated access to working capital. I’m very much looking forward to delivering the type of funding solutions to them that will make a difference.”
The company which specializes in the provision of fast, bespoke invoice finance facilities to SMEs across a wide range of industries and sectors also places an important focus on working closely with financial intermediaries who play a vital role in facilitating funding solutions and thereby supporting local businesses.
As Matthew continues: “I genuinely believe that it’s important in finance, given its significant disruption as a sector over the last decade or so, that we spend time really understanding our clients’ financial requirements to achieve a greater appreciation of their business. How they are uniquely different and what they intrinsically need from their funding partner both now and in the future.
eCapital offer a best-in-class service offering, placing their clients at the heart of everything it does. With significant planned investment to match its ambition, I’m excited about what the future holds.”
As Bryn Ible, regional managing director of eCapital concludes: “We are delighted that Matthew has joined the team. As UK businesses continue to demonstrate resilience throughout these uncertain and challenging times, we remain committed to supporting our clients with fast and flexible cashflow funding. Matthew’s energy and enthusiasm, coupled with his extensive industry and commercial expertise will be a huge asset to us and our introducer community and I am convinced that he will play a vital role in us further developing our brand and reputation in the local area.”
