Embedded finance provider Weavr partners with 11Onze fintech to launch community-focused banking super app
One of the largest digital community fintechs in Europe, 11Onze, has launched a banking super app, El Canut, to offer an innovative next generation asset holder for its customers.
Powered by embedded banking experts, Weavr, El Canut offers customers the choice to have all of their financial accounts in one place. It also allows customers to manage all of their payments, transfers, savings and loans from one app or login.
11Onze fills a gap in the larger fintech sector with its El Canut super app, La Plaça (The Square) private social network, Les Peles (digital currency) and an expansive educational library, aimed at empowering people with informative content on finance, economics, and sustainability.
James Séne, chairman at 11Onze, said: “Our goal was to create a super app that was agile, innovative and secure. But we needed to find the right mix of trusted partners who gave us the freedom to design and bring winning payment propositions to our members and customers with unmatched speed.
“Weavr were the first to really grasp what we wanted to achieve and were quick to partner with us. Their model was the most suitable to be selected as a cornerstone of our project and they have worked tirelessly to deliver a world class solution.”
Speaking about the partnership, Weavr co-founder and CEO, Alex Mifsud, said: “11Onze is an exciting and creative use of embedded banking within a community-focused super app. Weavr’s mission is to deliver embedded banking with as little pain and with as much speed to market as possible, but it’s only when we encounter innovators like 11Onze that the magic can happen.
“We are impressed with the focus and drive of the 11Onze team to make their vision of an online community that spans social networking, commerce and financial services, and honoured to be part of their journey.”
