Expansion plans for Unity Trust Bank following half year results
Unity Trust Bank, an established UK commercial bank, has bolstered its support to small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) by opening a second commercial office.
This expansion reinforces the successful year the bank has already had. It recently announced its half-year results for 2019 that showed it had increased lending to businesses by 47% on the same period last year and approved new loans of £121m. The lending has resulted in its customers creating 416 jobs, housing 449 people and building or renovating 518 bed spaces across the UK.
Opened by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, the new office on Manchester’s Deansgate will be the base for two commercial banking officers and four relationship managers dedicated to providing North West businesses with tailored, personal, one-to-one financial support.
The Birmingham-headquartered bank has provided support for more than 30 years to third sector organisations and SMEs across a range of sectors that are committed to driving social change. It offers a full range of banking services and lending solutions, including current accounts, saving accounts, overdrafts and business loans.
Margaret Willis, CEO of Unity Trust Bank said: “Our latest office launch marks a significant milestone for our brand. We’ve seen an uplift in new customers and we’re thrilled to be bringing our bespoke financial services to the North West business community.
“Our customers, employees and the communities we service are at the heart of our brand. To underline our commitment, we have a robust volunteering, education and fundraising programme to ensure we’re making a positive difference.”
