Family firm expands ready for 2021

Acorn Solicitors in Taunton and Street have been busy recruiting staff to build their family practice in the last month, taking on no less than six new members of staff.

Partner, David Sinclair said: “We are delighted to welcome the new members of our team. We have a great mix of experience and some rising stars. It’s great to provide opportunities for the two paralegal apprentices in our partnership with Weston college”

Imogen Powell joined the team in the Taunton branch to assist partner, David Sinclair, in delivering their Wills and Probate service. Imogen qualified two years ago and is very excited to take up the position:

“Working on this aspect of the law gives you a real opportunity to meet people, interact and make a positive difference to the clients; it’s really rewarding work.“

Outside of work, Imogen enjoys reading and taking her Zuchon puppy for walks.

Also joining the practice is Steve Green. Steve will be based in Street and is also highly experienced in Will Writing, having first started in 1981.

Taking a break from the law, after 15 years, Steve worked in the charitable sector in the field of overseas relief and later as a book wholesaler and retailer. He believes his life experience has made him better at his job.

Returning to the law was always on the cards and Steve requalified 4 years ago.

Outside of work, Steve’s passions include cycling, gardening and walking.

Imogen and Steve are also joined by support staff, Rhiannon Williams, Leah Moate, Tracy Hallett and Lyn Hallett.
