FCI Annual Review 2026 highlighting industry resilience, innovation and future
FCI, the global representative body for factoring and receivables finance, has released its Annual Review 2026, providing a comprehensive overview of activities, achievements and market developments from the past year.

Officially launched during the 58th FCI Annual Meeting in Lisbon, the publication reflects on a year marked by geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological advancement and evolving trade dynamics, while reaffirming FCI’s commitment to supporting the continued growth and development of the global receivables finance industry.
The Annual Review features messages from FCI chair Chenyue Mao and FCI deputy secretary general Betül Kurtuluş, who outline FCI’s strategic priorities and role in supporting members as they navigate an increasingly complex international trade environment.
A key feature of this year’s publication is the executive roundtable discussion, “Horizon Spotting: Capitalizing on the AI Opportunity in Trade Finance”. Moderated by Pamela Mar, managing director, Digital Standards Initiative, ICC, the discussion examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping trade finance operations, risk management, customer experience and business models across the industry. Contributing to the discussion are:
- · Renchun Zeng, CEO, IFS Capital, Singapore
- · Nergis Ayvaz Bumedian, general manager, QNB, Türkiye
- · Sergio Mendieta, head trade & working capital solutions, Santander, Peru
The publication also includes detailed regional updates, providing insight into market developments, promotion and awareness activities, legal and regulatory initiatives, industry challenges and regional outlooks for the year ahead.
In addition, the review presents the findings of the 2025 Global Industry Activity Report (GIAR) and the latest global factoring statistics, including turnover figures by country and territory, providing readers with a valuable overview of industry performance worldwide.
Betül Kurtuluş, FCI deputy secretary general, shared about the publication: “The receivables finance industry continues to evolve rapidly. From artificial intelligence and digitalisation to regulatory developments and new market opportunities, our members are navigating a period of significant change. This Annual Review highlights the key trends shaping our industry and reflects FCI’s commitment to supporting members through knowledge sharing, collaboration and advocacy.”
