Four key debates at the Commercial Finance Expo 2017
The eighth Commercial Finance Expo is just one month away. This event, the biggest of its kind in the industry, is sponsored by Shawbrook Bank and will feature a new style of conference, with panels tackling the topics we think are most critical to commercial finance brokers in the second half of the year.
We will be in hall 3a at the NEC, a new location for us in 2017. In our conference theatre, we expect lively debate and plenty of disagreement, and we will also be dishing out good advice, so attendees should come along to as many of these conferences as they can, to get the most out of the day.
Our first presentation will cover All Things Brexit. Chris Hills from Investec will assess the prospects for UK growth, inflation and interest rates over the next two years.
In the Changing Face of Buy-to-Let we will be looking at how tax changes will affect landlords and how those changes will reshape the landscape. How much of an effect have the changes really had…and where do we go from here?
Later in the morning we will be asking What’s so special about Specialist Finance?
With alternative lenders often being set up and led by experienced managers from high street banks, the flow of ideas is beginning to work both ways, with big established names showing clear signs of being influenced by their supposedly more flexible smaller rivals. Can clients now get the same products and the same treatments from the non-specialists? We will hear several different views.
In the afternoon, we will invite the audience to ask themselves Does my office meet professional standards? Our focus on Compliance and the launch of NACFB Compliance Services has given us a unique perspective on what’s really going on in our brokers’ offices, and we know what sort of things are most regularly giving brokers a headache, so we have got some very useful tips to share with our audience.
The full schedule can be found on the website including timings and a full list of speakers: www.commercialfinanceexpo.co.uk.
More than 120 of our exhibitor stands have already been booked, but we are still taking visitor bookings. Doors to Hall 3a open at 9:30am on 21 June. You can register at www.commercialfinanceexpo.co.uk
