Gainsborough Pharmacy in Ipswich sold to local operator through Christie & Co
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Gainsborough Pharmacy in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Gainsborough Pharmacy dispenses an average of 5,933 items per month and occupies the ground floor of a two-storey, brick built terraced property. The pharmacy benefits greatly from the nearest GP surgery, Landseer Road Surgery, being just 0.3 miles away, and Ravenswood Medical Practice being just under a mile away.
The business is conveniently positioned among a variety of shops in a residential estate in the town of Ipswich, Suffolk, which is well served by road and rail with direct trains to London Liverpool Street.
The pharmacy was previously owned by Mr Rohit Soni who owns another pharmacy in a village nearby. He decided to sell Gainsborough in order to concentrate on other ventures.
Gainsborough Pharmacy has been purchased by expanding local operator, Avalake Ltd. Speaking on behalf of the company, Mr Raman Gangwar comments, “It’s been great working with Mark at Christie & Co again to secure this exciting pharmacy in Ipswich. Thanks for all your help along the way and we look forward to the next one!”
Mark Page, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “This sale demonstrates the continued high demand for quality pharmacies in East Anglia. The sector has performed well during the pandemic and this has given fresh confidence to buyers who see a healthy, long-term future for community pharmacy.”
Gainsborough Pharmacy was sold off-market for an undisclosed price.
