Growth Company invites expressions of interest to support UK’s Net Zero innovation drive
Following last week’s ten-point plan for a “green industrial revolution” as announced by the Prime Minister, The Growth Company is calling for expressions of interest from qualified and experienced consultants and associates to support SME growth opportunities within the government’s new £1bn Net Zero Innovation Portfolio.
As a longstanding strategic delivery partner to the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), The Growth Company has been delivering net carbon zero business support for over a decade and has amassed a wealth of practical experience, as well as developing and delivering proven tools to support companies to bring new low carbon products and services to a global market.
The Growth Company is now inviting an expression of interest from a range of experts across various business disciplines and sectors to work in partnership with its experienced team across its wider innovation services, which are multi sector and supported by academic partners.
One of the many opportunities in the pipeline for the Growth Company as it expands capacity to deliver innovation support for SMEs, is an opportunity to bid for the provision of user-focused incubation support services for BEIS. This £10bn contract is for four years and is UK wide, with a value of £10m. Should the bid be a success, it is envisioned that delivery will begin from spring 2021.
To enhance its capacity for such bids and prepare for plans to further develop its innovation support services, the Growth Company is specifically looking for those with experience of supporting companies with product or service development in the following technology areas: nuclear, industry, renewable energy, smart energy and energy storage, built environment, carbon capture, utilisation and storage, climate science and related cross cutting themes.
To reflect the UK’s diversity, individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds in business and particularly those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, are being encouraged to apply.
