IGF boosts new Ayrshire business with £1m facility
IGF has delivered a £1m asset-based lending facility to newly formed Ayrshire business, Confida FM.
Confida FM began in May 2017 after the purchase of an existing business, Sercon Support Services. With continued support from IGF throughout the MBO process, Confida’s management team was able to re-structure the company and make a fresh start, in addition to having working capital to fund the new venture.
IGF’s facility not only allows Confida to realise its ambitious plans to grow the business across Scotland and the rest of the UK, but also helps to keep and create over 300 jobs in the Ayrshire region.
Confida FM is a leading facilities management firm specialising in commercial cleaning, security and property management service contracts, with clients across the UK’s public and private sector.
Lorraine Murray MBE, director at Confida FM, comments:
“The IGF team has been fantastic throughout the transition process from the previous business, and really took the time to understand our needs as a new organisation. Business continuity was a crucial part of this process, and IGF allowed us to maintain our day-to-day activity whilst we focused on growing the business from the off.”
Alan Anderson, ABL director – Scotland at IGF, adds:
“Confida’s work is extremely people-driven, so it was important to keep the jobs secure from the existing Sercon team. We’re proud to support such as enthusiastic and entrepreneurial management team through this transition, and see a bright future for the new Confida business.”
