IT investor Serhii Tokarev announces Roosh Ventures’ investment in Jump
Ukrainian investment company Roosh Ventures has made a strategic investment in Jump, a French platform designed to simplify the freelancing experience. Serhii Tokarev, co-founder of Roosh investment group, took to LinkedIn to announce the news. He shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Thrilled to announce that Roosh Ventures is backing Jump, a platform that’s changing the game for freelancers.” This investment marks a continuation of Roosh Ventures’ mission to support innovative tech startups in various sectors.
Jump, established in 2021 by Nicolas Fayon, Thibault Coulon, and Maxime Bouchet, offers a unique set of services tailored for freelancers. The platform enables freelancers to access benefits traditionally available only to full-time employees, such as social security, corporate health insurance, and retirement savings programs. Jump also simplifies administrative tasks like accounting and payroll management, allowing freelancers to focus on their core work while enjoying a stable income and other benefits. The platform provides virtual cards, invoicing systems, and activity tracking tools, offering a comprehensive solution for freelancers who want to streamline their operations.
Serhii Tokarev explained Roosh Ventures’ decision to back Jump, highlighting the platform’s ability to solve key challenges faced by freelancers. “Jump handles all the tough stuff—payroll, accounting, benefits—so freelancers can focus on what they do best. It is a complete solution, and that is why we are excited to be part of their journey,” said Serhii Tokarev. He emphasized that with Roosh Ventures joining forces with other prominent investors such as Breega, Index Ventures, and Raise Ventures, Jump is well-positioned to expand beyond France and become a global player in the freelancing space.
While the exact amount of Roosh’s investment remains undisclosed, Jump secured €11 million in a Series A funding round. The funds will be used to expand the platform’s reach in France, the UK, and other European markets. Jump also aims to double its team size by the end of the year as part of its effort to attract more freelancers, particularly from the millennial and Gen Z demographics. Currently, the platform serves nearly 2,000 freelancers and generates an annual turnover of €150 million.
