Jeremy Bennett from Duff & Phelps Ltd joins P&A as new director
The P&A Group of Companies Plc, a leading independent professional and financial services group, has announced that Jeremy Bennett has joined the business support group as a director of the P&A Partnership Limited.
With a background in law, Jeremy has over 20 years’ experience in banking and finance, restructuring and insolvency and corporate recovery.
Jeremy trained and qualified at Squire Patton Boggs and was head of finance law for North East before leaving in 2002 to set up his own law firm (JB Law Limited), specialising in banking, corporate finance and restructuring/insolvency. In 2012 he sold his practice to leading national law firm, Cobbetts LLP.
Jeremy is one of the few practising dual qualified lawyer/insolvency practitioners in the country. He is also acknowledged for his advisory work in the invoice discounting, factoring and asset backed lending (ABL) market. In 2013 he joined Duff & Phelps Ltd as head of the firm’s new Leeds office.
During his career he has gained extensive experience advising banks and asset-based lenders, focusing on restructurings, workouts and turnaround situations. He has particular experise in advising management teams and their finances. Jeremy’s sector experience includes legal and professional services firms. manufacturing, construction, recruitment and haulage.
Jeremy is also a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA).
