Karen Fisher joins Advantedge in Midlands based client relationship role
Appointment supports ambition to offer locally based service to SMEs in the region
Advantedge Commercial Finance (Advantedge), has appointed Karen Fisher as senior relationship manager at their Midlands based operation. Karen has joined the invoice finance provider to support their growing client portfolio with a focus on delivering a market leading service to clients.
The appointment comes as the firm notches up its first anniversary of its opening in the region and is in response to their growing presence as a result of their ambitious growth strategy.
Karen will oversee the development of their growing operational centre based in the Midlands. The appointment comes at a time when the Midland’s business community has gradually had to come to terms with the fact that political uncertainty, both domestically and internationally, seems to be the new norm. Advantedge believe that businesses in the region have a crucial role to play in driving the economy and need to maintain their focus on growing their businesses.
As Karen commented: “The Midlands has a thriving business community with 450,000 SME’s and with an average 1.7% GVA growth, it has the fastest regional growth rate outside of London and the South East. The region has a positive outlook as the economy as a whole is experiencing growth across a broad range of sectors from construction, manufacturing, IT and professional services all experiencing higher than national average growth rates”.
Karen brings with her substantial experience having worked within client and risk management roles within the invoice finance sector, most notably within Lloyds TSB, Bibby Financial Services and latterly at Gener8 Finance. The client has always been her focus demonstrated by her commitment to delivering effective working relationships which meets the clients’ expectations and provides the funding they need to drive their businesses forward.
As Karen continues: “SMEs are vitally important to our local economy as they provide jobs and wealth. We are committed to delivering a locally based operation which understands local businesses and their markets. The opportunity to join a funder in the sector, with such a strong commercial perspective, access to large funding pools and a commitment to delivering a market leading service, was impossible to ignore. With funding facilities available up to £1.5m I am looking forward to supporting firms across the Midlands and their growth aspirations.”
Advantedge, who offer a full range of invoice finance facilities to small and medium sized businesses, have seen consistent growth having already funded over £2bn worth of invoices to British SME’s and hope to significantly increase that number as they continue to expand their operation. The business attributes this continued growth to delivering fast, flexible and straightforward finance solutions to clients on their own terms, which is aimed at delivering a transparent and professional service to both intermediaries and clients.
Paul Stokes, regional managing director at Advantedge said: “It is great to have Karen on board. She understands how important it is to build local relationships with clients and is focused on delivering excellence in client service which matches our own aspirations. We are passionate about delivering our clients a local service that cannot be matched by others. It’s an exciting time for the business as we continue on with our growth plans supported by healthy funding lines and we are looking forward to making a difference to firms based in the Midlands.
