Lancashire’s Versatile Accountancy Services secures significant funding package
Versatile Accountancy Services Ltd, an accountancy practice in Littleborough, Lancashire, has secured a funding package from Santander Business Banking to purchase premises. The move will allow the firm to increase in size and expand with two new hires and internal promotions.
The firm, run by directors Karen Simpson and Heather Wild, was established in 2005 and now boasts a comprehensive spectrum of accountancy services for a range of clients both locally and nationally.
Both Karen and Heather have a strong influence in the local Lancashire business community and host a number of seminars at the area’s business growth club, helping support local businesses with their own progression and expansion.
Alongside the premises purchased in Littleborough, the funding from Santander has helped the firm concentrate on internal career development. This has provided it with the chance to promote its existing staff to more senior roles, securing a strong line of progression within the firm. The business will also recruit two new staff to drive future growth.
Karen Simpson, director at Versatile Accountancy Services Ltd, said: “The funding provided by Santander has been vital to our growth plans. Following the purchase of our new office, we have been able to focus our efforts on internal promotions and growing our staff numbers. We see this expansion as being integral to the business’s strong future within the accountancy industry.
Afsar Hussain, business relationship director at Santander Business Banking, said: “Versatile Accountancy is a company that shows a lot of promise and we are delighted to be able to support them in their expansion drive. Supporting local businesses, such as Versatile Accountancy, is at the heart of what we do at Santander Business Banking; we want to provide local companies with the funding they need to thrive in the business community.
