LendInvest hires new director of mortgage underwriting and an additional business development manager for the North West of England
LendInvest has hired a new director of mortgage underwriting, and further expanded its regional sales team with a second business development manager for the North West.
Gene Clohessy joins the team as director of mortgage underwriting, and will be leading the underwriting team towards its goal of market leading broker engagement, faster underwriting processes, and improved communication channels.
Gene brings over 18 years’ experience to the team. She previously worked for a range of banks including Bank of Ireland, Allied Irish Banks, and most recently Shawbrook Bank, where she worked as a senior divisional credit manager within the buy-to-let team.
LendInvest has also hired Jan Gallagher as a business development manager, who will be responsible for sourcing deals across the North West of England.
Boasting over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Jan brings to her role past experience as both a broker and a BDM.
Jan joins the team from Vida Home loans, where she most recently worked as a sales manager. Over the last 30 years, she has worked in a series of business development roles including regional sales manager for Foundation Home Loans, and corporate sales manager for Masthaven.
Jan will work alongside existing BDM for the North West, Sophie-Mitchell Charman. Sophie joined the business in 2017 and currently champions LendInvest’s full product range for the region.
Ian Boden, sales director at LendInvest, commented: “It is always an exciting time when we are able to bring excellent people into the business, which is why we are particularly delighted to announce these two hires. Gene and Jan bring a wealth of experience in their respective areas to their teams; experience that will not only bolster our quality of origination in an area we are seeing a lot of demand, but also provide a superior, tailored experience for brokers and borrowers throughout the underwriting process.”
