Leonard Curtis appoints new head of commercial real estate
Leonard Curtis has made a key hire in its funding team by appointing a new head of commercial real estate Sarah Hewitt.
The business solutions group has focused on expanding its funding pillar in 2024 and Sarah joins the company to support the planned growth and structuring of funding solutions for clients.
Sarah has spent almost twenty years working in commercial finance at major high street banks including HSBC, RBS, and Virgin Money covering relationship management, credit & risk, and restructuring roles and has a thorough understanding of the lending landscape.
She has also worked in a new start-up banking entity – being a key part of the team that secured a banking licence ahead of a major acquisition.
Sarah stated: “I love seeing businesses thrive and enjoy supporting their goals,
whether this be growing and requiring cash flow support, buying new premises, looking at investment opportunities, preparing for exit, general reviews and refinancing and anything in between.
“Joining the Leonard Curtis team is immensely appealing and very exciting as the funding team has been built on great foundations, with solid relationships and huge potential to assist even more clients and businesses to secure the vital finance they require.”
Becky Owen, director of commercial finance at Leonard Curtis, added: “Sarah is a critical hire to support the expansion of the team.
“She brings a wealth of experience and drive to help us take the business forward over the coming months.”
Leonard Curtis’ head of funding Gary Cain also stated: “This really is a landmark hire for us in 2024.
“We’ve made huge strides in setting up a team that has the experience and insight to provide solutions to clients that work long-term for their own specific goals – and Sarah is very much of the right mind-set in that regard.
“Her experience and attitude will prove invaluable and she is going to play a significant role in taking the funding pillar of our business to the next level.”
