Lloyds Banking Group Commercial Banking half year and new strategy
Today Lloyds Banking Group announced its H1 results, where we also unveiled our new strategy, Accelerate 2030.
In the first half of the year, Business & Commercial Banking continued to grow revenue and lending activity, launched Lloyds Accept to modernise payments for small businesses, rolled out our free Making Tax Digital solution for income tax, and enabled digital wallet payments for Business Credit Cards
As part of the new strategy, we announced four new commitments to help more UK businesses grow and thrive:
- Over £45bn of new finance for SMEs from 2027 to 2030.
- Doubling the size of our relationship team for SME and Mid Market businesses to provide more tailored support to businesses.
- Launching a new Innovation Banking service to support UK’s leading high-growth, innovation-led technology companies at every stage of their journey.
- Embedding our finance solutions on the platforms that businesses use every day.

Amanda Murphy, CEO for Lloyds Business and Commercial Banking, said: “ I’m proud of the contribution we’ve made in Business & Commercial Banking, and of the impact our teams have every day for the one million business customers we serve.
“While we remain focused on delivering for customers and finishing 2026 strongly, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and what Accelerate 2030 will help us achieve.”
