Lloyds Banking Group senior risk manager appointed President of CISI Yorkshire branch
Emma Spratley Chartered MCSI has been appointed President of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Yorkshire branch.
Emma has 20 years’ experience in stockbroking, holding a variety of management positions in both operational, dealing and customer service areas. She commenced her career at a local firm of stockbrokers before moving to Halifax Share Dealing which is the retail stockbroking arm for Lloyds Banking Group based in Leeds.
In 2014 Emma changed career direction and moved into a senior compliance and risk management role, supporting both the stockbroking business and the wider business risk division. Emma holds a LLB (Hons) in English & European Law and has been a member of the CISI since 2002.
Emma said:
“Having been involved with the CISI Yorkshire Branch for a number of years, I am pleased to now have the opportunity to take on the branch presidency. I have always had a particular interest in promoting the benefits of qualifications, CPD, professionalism and integrity in the workplace. It is imperative that our clients and indeed the general public have total confidence in the ability of our industry to look after and protect their interests now and in the future.
“I would particularly like to thank my predecessor Andrew Feldhaus. He has built a strong committee that strives to represent the diverse interests of our members from across the securities, investment, wealth and financial planning communities.”
