Martine Catton coup for Catalyst team
Selective Invoice Finance (SIF) specialist, Catalyst Finance, has secured the services of Martine Catton, one of the UK’s leading invoice finance business development experts.
Manchester-based Martine appointment, as Catalyst sales director, puts the finishing touches to a growth plan which could see the Stroud-based company – currently the second largest SIF provider in the UK – leading the way in a more transparent approach to invoice finance to SMEs.
With more than 25 years’ of specialist experience, Martine’s previous roles have included regional sales positions at Hitachi Capital and ‘challenger’ bank, Aldermore, before stepping up to head Aldermore’s direct sales division. Now, she will apply her contacts and expertise to driving growth in the SIF sector.
Martine said: “I am really excited about this new role. Catalyst has been on my radar for some time. They are dynamic, professional and, while they are making the most of fintech, their customer service focuses on personal relationships which remains vital in this industry. Selective Invoice Finance is transforming the invoice finance sector’s thinking and is set to be a genuine force for good in UK business. I really want to be leading that with Catalyst.”
Martine will report to Catalyst CEO, Jonathan Willder, who said: “Having Martine as part of the Catalyst team is a major coup for us and for the SIF sector as a whole. Because our SIF model is contract-free, when funds are advanced we are judged on the quality of every individual transaction. Martine clearly has confidence in both our model and the quality of our SIF product and her experience is certain to help us access an increasingly wide range of introducers and clients.”
