Mazars appoints Rebecca Dacre as Milton Keynes office managing partner
Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, has appointed Rebecca Dacre as office managing partner in Milton Keynes, succeeding Ian Pickford. The appointment will be effective 1 September 2022.
The Milton Keynes office has seen strong performance during Ian Pickford’s three-year tenure, and has built upon its existing strength in serving privately owned businesses (POBs) with the establishment of a specialist audit team and POB Board dedicated to these clients.
Rebecca, who was promoted to Partner in 2021, has worked in Milton Keynes for over 15 years and is a well-known part of the city’s business community. A restructuring and insolvency expert, working across a wide range of sectors, she will lead a team of 195 staff at the firm’s Milton Keynes office and focus on developing Mazars corporate restructuring offering and building on the success of the POB practice in the area.
Rebecca is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and is a committed supporter of local initiatives including driving Mazars’ sponsorship for Milton Keynes Pride Festival in September. Professionally, Rebecca won the Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency (TRI) Award for “Corporate Rescue of the Year – Medium size” in 2018 and was finalist in TRI Awards for “IP of the Year” and “Corporate Rescue of the Year – Large size” in 2019. She is Chair of the ICAEW’s Restructuring and Insolvency Advisory Group.
Ian Pickford, partner and head of Mazars Private Client, said: “My three years as Milton Keynes Office managing partner have formed a great chapter of my career and I am delighted that Rebecca will take over this rewarding and exciting role. She has a great reputation in the local market and the ambition, drive and leadership qualities to make a huge success of her role.”
Rebecca Dacre, partner and Mazars Milton Keynes office managing partner, said: “It is a great honour to lead such a fantastic team and to take responsibility for an important part of Mazars’ business in the UK. We have an incredibly exciting few years ahead of us, building on our legacy of attracting a diverse, talented and ambitious team while continuing to grow year on year. We have a real opportunity to make a difference to our clients and to our local community, and I’m proud to lead this team in doing so”.
