Metro Bank supports Wessex Care with £9m funding
Metro Bank has provided care home operator Wessex Care with more than £9.27m in funding, which has been used in part to support the development of new state-of-the-art care centres, including the Kimberly West and East centres in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Matthew Airey, managing director at Wessex Care, said: “After seven years from concept to completion we are pleased to have launched the Kimberly West centre, and we are currently working on the construction of the Kimberly East care centre.
“None of this would have been possible without the support, funding and amazing service provided by Metro Bank. We have exciting plans to transform our current residential, nursing and dementia care homes, and we look forward to working with Metro Bank on these projects.”
Denis Knockton, head of mid-market healthcare at Metro Bank, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been able to support Wessex Care with this finance solution. They’re a well-known and respected organisation that provides vital and accessible services to the local community, and I look forward to working closely with them and supporting them with their future aspirations.”
Established in 2001, Wessex Care is a family-owned operator of five care homes, with a total of 117 beds. The development programme will increase this to six care centres with 250 beds.
