Metro Bank to open new store in Moorgate

Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is bringing its award-winning customer service to the bustling streets of Moorgate, London, on Thursday 17 January. It will be the bank’s 66th store and its third in the Square Mile.

Located in the heart of the City of London at 120 London Wall, the day-long celebrations are set to spruce up the morning rush hour, with festivities kicking off at 8am. Open to residents, commuters, businesses and of course man’s best friend, there will be something for everyone, from free shoe-shining to live music and stilt-walkers.

Lord Mayor of the City of London, alderman Peter Estlin, will officially open the store alongside the bank’s local director, Jimmy Munoz and store manager, Jake Wills, who began his career with the bank as a cashier in 2012.

The store will offer on-the-spot retail account opening, with no appointments necessary; thousands of safe deposit boxes for customers to store their valuables; and magic money machines for customers and non-customers alike to count their coins free of charge.
