Multi-award-winning Paint Pots Nursery group in Southampton sold to nearby charity
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Paint Pots Pre-School and Nursery Ltd.
Founded by David and Anna Wright, Paint Pots comprises nine superb settings predominantly located in and around Southampton, with a combined effective operating capacity for circa 482 children. The group boasts both ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ Ofsted ratings, multiple high-calibre awards, and a glowing reputation for childcare that is second to none. The pair decided to sell to pursue well-earned retirements.
Following a closed marketing campaign, where Paint Pots garnered interest from a wide range of buyers, the business has now been sold to Launchpad Early Years, a nearby charity with shared visions and goals to that of the exiting owners.
David and Anna comment, “Our passion has always been to provide children a loving and homely environment, which is safe, secure and nurturing. The emotional, social and physical development of all the children in our care is so important to us and we know that the team at Launchpads will continue to guide these children through their learning journey.”
Speaking on behalf of Launchpad Early Years, Reverend Debbie Sellin, Bishop of Southampton and chair of the Launchpads board, comments, “David and Anna have put in over 25 years of exceptional work teaching children. Theirs’ is a fantastic achievement, and we will seek to carry forward their approach as they prepare for retirement.”
The sale was handled by Nick Brown and Courteney Donaldson at Christie & Co.
Nick Brown director and head of brokerage comments, “It has been a pleasure working with David and Anna on the sale of their most cherished business. Their ethos across all settings was to provide the best start in life for children through their education and, over the years, they have certainly done that, as the business has grown to become one of the area’s leading childcare providers; serving so many families, and caring for and nurturing many generations of children across Southampton. Both David and Anna are well respected in the childcare arena, and we wish them all the best for the future and for a very well-earned retirement!”
Paint Pots Pre-School and Nursery Ltd was sold for an undisclosed price.
