NACFB announces four-months of free membership for all its brokers
The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) have announced free membership for all their existing brokers for the next four months.
To provide an immediate and direct lifeline for brokers, the Association will not be running direct debits for membership fees – from April until July 2020 – nor will they seek to latterly accrue payment.
Speaking on the membership fee grace period, NACFB chair Paul Goodman, said: “We know that last week’s announcements from the chancellor won’t go far enough to impact most of our membership.
“We have therefore made the right decision to pause the collection of all existing broker membership fees – a far more substantial measure than any three-month holiday period. We want our loyal Members to be able to lean on their trade body during this difficult time and feel supported, not just in terms of our service, but financially too.”
Postponement of flagship NACFB events
All of the Association’s upcoming events have been postponed until the autumn. The NACFB Commercial Finance Expo will now be held on the new date of Tuesday 22nd September. All bookings have been transferred to this new date and all existing registrations remain valid. The NACFB’s inaugural Commercial Broker Awards will now take place on Tuesday 6th October.
Association launches COVID-19 hub
In addition to the NACFB’s accredited partner status with the British Business Bank’s CBILS scheme, they have also launched their own COVID-19 Response Hub.
The aim of the online hub is to demystify the CBILS process and collate relevant information for brokers, SMEs and lenders alike. They’ll be updating the hub with the very latest information whilst directing inquisitive SMEs to their findSMEfinance funding platform.
The findSMEfinance online broker directory benefited from a 325% increase in traffic over the last two weeks.
