NACFB Annual Gala Dinner 2018 raises £14,720 for Tommy’s
Professor Andrew Shennan held the, customarily boisterous, pre-dinner gathering at the NACFB Gala Dinner in the palm of his hand, you could have heard a pin drop, as he explained the work of Tommy’s. The charity, based at St Thomas’s Hospital, works to save babies’ lives, by cutting the loss from 250,000 per annum stillbirths, miscarriages and premature births.
He hates public speaking yet, like so many rallying to a cause through a sense of duty, his soft voice carried to the hearts of those there and they raised £14,720 to fund research that may provide an answer and cut that list of deaths.
