Long standing East Anglian accountancy and business advisory firm Ensors, part of Azets, has added a strategic new hire to its growing Norwich office.

An experienced tax advisor, she is also a past chair of the East Anglian branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
Clare said: “I am pleased to have joined Ensors at an exciting time of growth for the business. I intend to use my experience and local knowledge to help continue the upward progression trajectory of the Norwich office.
“My extensive background supporting Norfolk residents helps me to provide clients with a strategic approach to tackle the ever-changing tax legislation and compliance.”
Ensors Norwich office partner Chris Barrett said: “Clare is a familiar face and formidable force in Norwich who has brought a wealth of experience across various sectors, which will be of great benefit to the team and our expanding services offerings.
“She is particularly well known for the innovative way she approaches tax planning and for her determination to minimise personal tax liabilities by delivering effective results for clients. She has already hit the ground running and we look forward to supporting her integration into the team.”
Clare’s previous appointment in Norwich was as director of personal taxation and private client services after gaining 17 years at a regional firm. She began her training at another local firm, where she stayed for two decades, also in the city.
She has specialised in private client work since 2001 and qualified as a chartered tax adviser in 2005. Her expertise provides support to high-net wealth individuals, supporting with complex tax planning and trusts and estate planning.
Ensors is one of East Anglia’s oldest and most respected firms of accountants, with more than 130 years’ experience of offering full-service accounting for East Anglia’s leading industries.
In September 2025 UK top 10 accountancy firm Azets acquired the firm, which has 300 colleagues across six offices in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ipswich, Norwich and Saxmundham.
