NFB launches new tendering portal to help members find construction opportunities in one place
The National Federation of Builders has launched a new NFB Tendering Portal, giving members a simple way to find publicly advertised construction contract opportunities from across England, Scotland and Wales through a single platform designed specifically for the construction sector.
The portal brings together opportunities that are normally spread across multiple procurement sites and makes them searchable inside the NFB members’ area, helping businesses identify relevant work faster and manage tender pipelines more effectively.

Members can search using practical filters including keyword search, contract value, publication date, submission deadline, location and construction-relevant CPV codes covering construction work, repair, and maintenance services, and architectural, engineering and inspection services. Additional CPV codes can also be added where members operate in specialist areas.
Users can create and save multiple search preferences tailored to their business needs, allowing them to build structured opportunity pipelines and receive automatic email alerts when matching tenders are published, including reminders as submission deadlines approach.
Alongside the portal itself, members can also access a supporting tendering guide through Ask NFB and a short instructional video demonstrating how to set up searches and alerts.
James M. Butcher, deputy chief executive of the National Federation of Builders, said: “The NFB Tendering Portal is part of our wider work to modernise how we support members and make it easier for them to access real commercial opportunities. We want membership to deliver practical value day to day, as well as representation at a national level.
“By bringing tender opportunities together in one place and allowing members to tailor alerts to their business, this portal helps firms save time, stay informed and compete more effectively for work.”
