Overcoming the financial gap in Europe by supporting SMEs
The number of alternative finance providers across Europe has increased considerably in recent years with crowdfunding, trading and angel investments (to name a few) becoming an important source of finance for entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs. However, access to finance varies considerably across Europe with Southern, Central and Eastern European regions lagging behind Northern and Western European regions in terms of alternative financing volume.
On April 16th, Altfinator will organise its final event “Overcoming the financial gap in Europe by supporting SMEs – what and how?” which will consist of a series of thematic webinars aiming to address key solutions to bridging that gap.
Altfinator grande finale invites all players involved in the alternative financing ecosystem to discuss the pressing challenges and solutions for the growth of the finance ecosystem in Europe by featuring the main results and conclusions stemming from the Altfinator project.

Session 2 – Europe and alternative finance – What are the challenges, risks, and outlooks? – Moderated by Ronald Kleverlaan (Crowdfunding Hub)
Session 3 – How to ensure increased access to alternative financing for SMEs in Europe? – Panel discussion moderated by Gábor Mátrai (Innomine Group)
The event will also include a 4th session “Kick-off of the Altfinator hub network” which is a closed session by invitation only.
