Pension-finding platform Raindrop reunites savers with over £2bn in lost pensions since launch
Pension-finding platform, Raindrop, has reunited customers with over £2bn in lost or dormant pension savings since launch.
In total, Raindrop’s pension-finding technology has recovered over 230,000 individual pots. During 2026 alone, Raindrop’s technology has tracked down almost £1bn from 133,000 pots by working with some of the UK’s largest financial providers including AJ Bell, Monzo and Mylo from Aegon.
ONS figures estimate that the value of dormant assets lies at around £550bn whilst research from the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) shows that £31.1bn is estimated to be sitting in around 3.3 million lost pension pots.
During the first half of 2026, Raindrop announced the appointment of Guy Opperman as non-executive director (NED) to its Board of Directors. Guy Opperman was formerly the UK’s longest serving pensions minister and has been instrumental in boosting engagement, expanding auto enrolment and growing the master trust market.
As NED at Raindrop, Guy Opperman plays a key role in Raindrop’s continued growth as the platform unlocks UK savers’ access to simple pension finding tools. Raindrop also continues to develop new transformational products for financial institutions to offer their customers and reunite savers with millions of pounds in lost or dormant pots.
Vivan Shridharani, co-founder & CCO at Raindrop, said: “There is huge demand for simple pension-finding tools that empower people to regain control of their retirement savings. Dormant assets are a major issue which Raindrop is tackling through its partnerships with some of the UK’s largest pension providers – this approach has already reunited customers with billions of pounds in savings but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“To enhance support for customers and boost consolidation, pension providers and financial institutions are working tirelessly to streamline the tracing process and boost engagement. Tools such as Raindrop’s platform play a critical role in this and we have an ambitious product innovation roadmap which will deliver even greater support over the coming months.”
Guy Opperman, NED at Raindrop, adds: “Raindrop has already demonstrated its positive impact. As it continues its scale-up journey I believe it will cement its position as the go-to pensions tracing player in the UK and be the next British tech success story.”
