Pilates studio secures £15,000 funding for new venture
A Pilates studio in Leicester has secured £15,000 in funding from First Enterprise via the British Business Bank Start Up Loans Programme to help launch the business with new equipment and studio fit out.
Reform and Glow, founded in 2024 by Jodie Wilson, is a boutique wellness-focused fitness studio that specialises in Reformer Pilates. Based in Leicester, the business offers five levels of Reformer Pilates classes and aims to create a welcoming, inclusive space for fitness.
Jodie had initially taught at other studios, but wanted the freedom of her own business to create a dedicated studio that offered a friendly class experience.
The funding was primarily used to help with initial start-up costs, such as hiring staff, buying fitness equipment, and fitting out the studio space. Jodie also received support from a Start Up Loans business mentor to help ensure success for her business in the long term.

Jodie Wilson, founder of Reform & Glow, said: “I’ve always been passionate about both exercise and helping people. Starting my own studio has meant I could bring the two together, and the funding from the British Business Bank allowed me to achieve this success much faster. The response to the opening of the studio has been fantastic, and we’ve gone from strength to strength already.”
Louise McCoy, managing director, Start Up Loans Products, British Business Bank, added: “Businesses that uplift their local communities and create spaces for people to come together are invaluable in so many ways. Supporting their successes with funding from the Start Up Loans programme proves its impact, and the Bank looks forward to seeing the business continue to thrive and grow in the future.”
