PKF Littlejohn Advisory makes another senior hire to further enhance Manchester capabilities
PKF Littlejohn has further strengthened its Manchester office with the appointment of Mike Lee as a director in its Advisory & Restructuring team.
With more than 30 years’ experience as a corporate advisory and turnaround specialist in the North West, Mike will be responsible for providing strategic advice to clients facing creditor issues with practical measures such as cashflow analysis, refinancing and contingency planning.
A chartered certified accountant, Mike brings a wealth of experience in operational and financial recovery, having a track record of supporting businesses with cashflow issues – whether this stems from rapid growth or challenging market conditions. Mike is particularly well known for leading significant change management projects and has extensive experience in engaging with HMRC to access support such as Time to Pay arrangements.

In recent years, Mike played a key role in stabilising an engineering group by addressing operational and leadership issues that caused financial strain. Mike was also instructed to forensically investigate a recruitment agency which had experienced severe cashflow pressures. He supported the company through an enforced company voluntary arrangement (CVA) and served as its outsourced finance director.
Mike says: “Having helped a variety of companies to return to a more secure financial footing, I’m looking forward to continuing this work at PKF and leveraging my hands-on experience. The firm has a strong, well-respected team and I’m excited about contributing to its future growth ambitions.”
Paul Williams, Partner at PKF Littlejohn, believes Mike’s experience will prove invaluable as the firm continues to build its on the ground presence in Manchester, adding: “Mike has a deep understanding of the issues affecting businesses across a variety of industries. Having spent the majority of his career assisting companies in and around Manchester, his appointment underscores our commitment, and appetite, to deliver solutions and services to clients in the North West.”
