PKF Smith Cooper announces six promotions
Midlands-based business advisory and accountancy firm PKF Smith Cooper has announced six promotions in its Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham offices, as the award-winning firm invests in team talent across service lines and continues to build its regional and national reputation.
The promoted team members are Megan Whiley (tax manager), Tom Joy (corporate finance senior manager), Selma Delic (operations director), Tara Adams (accounts manager), Charlotte Morgan (corporate tax senior manager) and Matt Aston (audit manager). Promotions will take effect from 1 July 2022.
In Nottingham, Megan Whiley has been promoted to tax manager after joining PKF Smith Cooper last year. Tara Adams, who began working at the firm as a school leaver in 2014, has been promoted to accounts manager.
In Birmingham, Tom Joy rises to the ranks of senior corporate finance manager, his second promotion in six months, following continued transaction success and deal activity. Matt Aston has been promoted to Audit Manager, in recognition of his significant contribution to the growth of the audit client base, both in size and complexity.
In Derby, Charlotte Morgan has been promoted to corporate tax senior manager and will continue to support the firm’s expansion plans within the wider tax team, most notably in dealing with the corporation tax for large corporates.
Selma Delic’s promotion to operations director is in recognition of her key role in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, which include the company’s membership of PKF International and the firm’s internal functions and processes.
David Nelson, senior partner, said: “I’d like to offer my warmest congratulations to the successful candidates. All six have made an impact at PKF Smith Cooper and we look forward to supporting them as they take the next steps in their career with the firm.
“This year’s promotions will strengthen our tax, corporate finance, accounts, audit and internal support teams. As a progressive and forward-thinking business, we remain committed to investing in talent across all divisions and at all levels. What is especially pleasing is that of the six promotions, four joined us as trainees. It’s an exciting time for the firm as we focus on our ambitious development plans and seek to further enhance our reputation both regionally and nationally.”
