Popular Shropshire dementia care home sold to first-time buyer
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Hartlands Residential Care in Shropshire. Funding for the sale was sourced through Christie Finance.
Hartlands Residental Care is a specialist dementia care home registered for 21 service users. It has an excellent reputation and has maintained good occupancy levels even throughout the pandemic.
It lies virtually unopposed as a specialist dementia care home in the small market town of Oswestry on the Shropshire/Welsh Borders, and benefits from a prominent position with good access for public transport and local town facilities.
Previously owned by Mr Declan Roche, the business was brought to market as a retirement sale and has now been purchased by first-time buyer, Mr Jawaad Aziz.
Paul Reilly, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale comments, “Although this is a smaller home, it attracted a number of first-time buyers looking for a home with a Manager in situ and shows the appetite for new people coming into the sector.”
David Ward, senior director at Christie Finance, who sourced funding for the buyer, comments, “Having access to specialist, non-high street lenders was key to financing this care home. The lender we worked with on this deal provides an excellent offering to the care sector and continually presents a real desire to support SME funding.
“We are delighted that we could support Jawaad with this acquisition and we are certain that he will make Hartlands a great success moving forward.”
Hartlands Residential Care was sold for an undisclosed price.
