Quantuma expands its Scottish team with senior hire
Cross-border advisory firm Quantuma has appointed restructuring expert, Brian Milne as a managing director in its Scottish practice. Brian will be based from Quantuma’s premises in Glasgow and he will also spend time in the firm’s Edinburgh office. A seasoned restructuring practitioner, Brian’s experience spans all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency, restructuring and advice work.
Brian joins Quantuma from a national accounting practice, where he was head of restructuring and debt advisory, prior to which he held senior roles in the restructuring divisions of two Big 4 accountancy firms. Most recently Brian was appointed as Administrator of a company owning a 18th century Scottish castle, as well as being appointed as Liquidator of an international web based high end fashion retailer.
Brian’s appointment adds further depth to Quantuma’s growing Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Scotland and follows the appointment of Craig Morrison, who joined as a managing director in the firm’s Edinburgh office in summer 2023. As ongoing economic uncertainty continues to create challenging trading conditions for businesses across Scotland the Quantuma team has experienced growing demand for its services.
On his appointment, Brian Milne said: “I am very pleased to have joined Quantuma and to be joining forces such a strong team in Scotland, and more widely. The firm has ambitious growth plans, and I welcome the opportunity to play my part in supporting our capabilities in the region.
I am looking forward to working alongside fellow managing directors Ian Wright, Craig Morrison and Scott Milne and the Scottish team as we further develop our offering.”
Quantuma managing director and Glasgow office lead, Ian Wright commented: “I am delighted to welcome Brian to the firm. Scotland is one of a number of key areas of focus for Quantuma, so we are very pleased that Brian’s arrival will add further senior expertise to better serve Scottish businesses, their management teams and their stakeholders.”
