Receivables 2014 – Shawbrook Business Credit tops Business Money Intermediary Index, for third time
Receivables 2014. Shawbrook Business Credit tops the Business Money Intermediary Index for the third time.
Receivables 2014, published today, reports on another successful year for the UK invoice finance sector, supporting business with a wide range of flexibly and speedily delivered working capital facilities. The sums, involving close to £300bn of sales financed in 2014, equivalent to 15%+ of UK GDP, reflect huge credit on the 38 invoice finance companies reviewed.
Key to this success is the intermediary sector, ranging from one of the big four accountants, through a group of professionally qualified practices, to specialist operations of all sizes, that arrange working capital finance. They are invited to assess invoice finance providers on three core qualities during the course of introducing, processing and servicing after completion, a successful proposition.
For the third year in succession the Business Money Intermediary Index is headed by Shawbrook Business Credit with a score of 95 out of 100, up from the 93 it returned in 2012 and 2013. Close Brother Invoice Finance was in second place scoring 88.3, a significant improvement on the 73 of 2013, Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance stormed into third position scoring 86.7 against the 78 achieved in 2013. Leumi ABL was in fourth position with an 85 reflecting its outstanding consistency over the last three years.
Business Money editor, Robert Lefroy, said: “Shawbrook Business Credit has shown that high quality can be delivered year after year if you work hard enough. Despite the unavoidable distractions of its acquisition by Shawbrook Bank, the team that formerly delivered under the Centric banner has not only maintained its exceptional standards, it has raised the bar again for the whole sector.”
Receivables 2014, the 18th annual review, is published today, only in the hard copy March 2015 edition of Business Money, subscription available from www.business-money.com at £149 a year.
