Receivables finance meets credit insurance
Representatives from the global receivables finance industry have met with representatives from the credit insurance sector at the Amsterdam headquarters of Factors Chain International.
At the initiative of Michel Leblanc, the chairman of FCI, a brainstorming session was organised with representatives from Berne Union, ICISA, Atradius, Euler Hermes, Coface and FCI.
Michel said: “Factoring and credit Insurance have a long tradition of co-operation. Many factoring companies are policy holders of credit insurance, but until this meeting there was never a structural co-operation between the representative bodies from both industries.”
The participants discussed topics of common interest such as advocacy, education and raising awareness about the important role both industries play in financing and mitigating risks in open account trade activities.
Participants to the meeting agreed to organise a similar get-together every six months.
