Richard Waldman joins Scottish Pacific
Scottish Pacific, Australia’s leading specialist provider of working capital solutions, has appointed Richard Waldman as state sales manager in Western Australia and South Australia.
Richard will lead and manage the Scottish Pacific sales teams on the ground in Perth and Adelaide to ensure local businesses are supported with the day-to-day funds they require to grow.
His role includes working with business owners and their commercial finance brokers and accountants to solve their working capital problems using invoice finance, trade finance, import finance, asset finance and bad debt protection.
Announcing the appointment, Scottish Pacific’s head of client acquisition Wayne Smith said WA and SA business owners were looking for the right funding options to help them grow and improve profitability.
“In Richard we have someone with extensive industry expertise who can help local businesses with the right funding,” Mr Smith said.
With a strong commercial finance background, and a degree in accounting, Mr Waldman joins Scottish Pacific following an extensive career in the UK’s more mature invoice finance industry. Outside of work, he is a keen traveller and classic VW Campervan enthusiast.
His previous positions include senior management roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland, regional managing director with Aldermore Invoice Finance and national sales leader with Ultimate Finance.
“Business owners have so much more than a bank overdraft at their disposal when it comes to funding their enterprises – but so many are still not aware of their options,” Richard said.
“I’ve seen very viable, solid businesses not be able to find funding with the banks. SMEs are the lifeblood of the Australian economy and if we can introduce more businesses in WA and SA to better funding options, it’s a win for the sector and the whole economy.”
“I’m looking forward to working with SMEs and their accountants and commercial brokers in showing them a broader range of workable funding options.”
