RTGS.global adds AMINA Bank to its cross-border payment network, bridging fiat and digital asset banking
RTGS.global and AMINA Bank AG (AMINA) have today announced a partnership that adds regulated digital asset banking capabilities to RTGS.global’s cross-border payment network. The partnership gives eligible RTGS.global clients access to AMINA’s FINMA-regulated banking services, making it easier for businesses and financial institutions operating across traditional and digital assets to access banking services and move money across borders. To start, services spanning fiat accounts in CHF and EUR with local payment rails alongside digital wallets are available through a single platform. USD and GBP fiat accounts will be added in due course.
AMINA is the first bank on the RTGS.global network to offer both fiat and digital asset services. Eligible RTGS.global clients who onboard with AMINA will hold accounts directly in their own business name and can manage those accounts through RTGS.global’s platform alongside their other banking relationships.
Payment service providers and money transfer operators increasingly need banking partners that handle fiat accounts, local payment rails, and digital asset wallets under one platform rather than sourcing each capability separately.
“When clients are operating across traditional and digital assets, they need banking and payment infrastructure that works across the full journey, rather than having to piece together different providers for different markets,” said Felipe Hillard, chief commercial officer at RTGS.global. “Amina brings established banking and digital asset capabilities into the RTGS.global network, giving clients more options across currencies while making it simpler to move money across borders.”
“Fiat banking and digital asset services have largely developed as separate worlds, and businesses moving money cross-border are the ones paying the cost of that divide,” said Myles Harrison, chief product officer at AMINA. “AMINA joined the RTGS.global network because it connects us directly with those businesses looking for a banking partner that can work across both.”
The partnership will initially focus on multi-currency accounts, payment capabilities and digital asset wallets. The two organisations plan to explore further collaboration as the relationship develops, including potential opportunities for AMINA to participate as an FX pricing participant on the RTGS.global platform.
