Scottish business leaders to explore future of talent
Scottish business leaders across technology and data industries are this week set to share their insights to how organisations can capitalise on new ways of working and enhance their mobile workforce while retaining and attracting new talent.
The Exploring the Future of Talent virtual roundtable on Wednesday (July 28) is being hosted by MBN Solutions and will see panellists discussing the changing shape of their industries as well as answer audience questions.
Panellists include: Elizabeth Hollinger, director of insight at Aggreko; The Data Lab’s chief executive officer, Gillian Docherty OBE; and Samantha Bedford, chair of Scotland Women in Technology and a transformation leader in tech and digital.
They will join MBN Solutions’ director of client services and the company’s academy, Rob Huggins, and non-executive director, Paul Forrest, a highly respected business mentor who works with a diverse range of organisations across the tech and data sector.
Both Gillian and Elizabeth are ranked among the most influential practitioners in data and analytics in Data IQ’s Big Data 100 while Paul and Rob have both featured twice in the industry-respected power list.
Among topics to be discussed by the panel will be purpose-driven leadership, the globalisation of talent, talent magnetism and the future of diverse and inclusive workspaces including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI).
Chairing the session will be Seb Mackay of MBN Solutions, an established tech and data science recruitment and resourcing specialist which recently published a white paper examining The Future of Talent.
Themes in the white paper will also be discussed including how to navigate Brexit. leading businesses with purpose and creating diverse and inclusive teams.
