Secret Potions Ltd buys Ridgways Chemist in Stoke-On-Trent
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Ridgway Chemist in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, to Secret Potions Ltd.
Ridgway Chemist is a community pharmacy which dispenses an average of 11,000 items per month. It is situated in a residential area in Stoke-On-Trent.
The business was previously owned by founding Pharmacist, Mr Christopher Ridgway, who decided to sell to pursue a well-earned retirement.
Mr Ridgway comments, “After 30 years of owning my pharmacy I knew the time had come to ‘hang up my boots’ but found it a daunting prospect. With Christie & Co on board, everything happened quickly, and we received many offers in just four weeks.”
Ridgway Chemist has been purchased by Secret Potions Ltd which owns and operates more than a dozen pharmacies predominantly in the Staffordshire region.
Carl Steer, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “Many people might know his face if not his name, as Chris Ridgway was the friendly and smiling ‘face of AAH vans’. From an initial call and meeting to completion, it was a total pleasure to deal with Chris, and so we were very pleased he achieved such a positive outcome for his exemplary pharmacy. All the best to Chris in his well-deserved retirement.

Ridgway Chemist was sold off an asking price of £1,250,000 plus freehold.
