Senior appointment as Scottish Pacific expands in United Kingdom
Leading SME working capital solutions specialist Scottish Pacific Business Finance UK has announced a senior appointment as it eyes expansion opportunities for its business in the United Kingdom.
Rob Kelly has been appointed as senior business development manager at Scottish Pacific Business Finance UK, with the key responsibility to head up sales and develop new business through Scottish Pacific’s new central London office.
Scottish Pacific head of international finance, Craig Michie, said the business had been rapidly growing since the UK presence was established two years ago.
Mr Michie said Rob Kelly’s appointment would expand a strong sales performance that had been focused on trade finance but that would now also include invoice finance solutions.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, Rob has previously worked in senior roles with Bibby Financial Services, Ashley Commercial Finance and most recently ABN AMRO Commercial Finance.
Rob said:
“This is a really exciting time for Scottish Pacific, as we’ve recently completed the acquisition of Sterling Trade Finance and are increasing our product range.
“We are now able to offer selective invoicing and full factoring as well as trade services so we really now can be considered a true asset based lender, providing complete solutions.”
The Australian-headquartered Scottish Pacific has more than 1700 clients and handles more than
$14bn of invoices each year, supported by offices in the UK, China, Australia and New Zealand.
