Senior Underwriter – Asset Based Lending South of England
Our client, one of the UK’s leading providers of Asset Based Lending solutions seeks an experienced Underwriting professional to join their high performing credit team in the South of England.
The role will involve acting as a conduit between the new business team and the organisation’s credit committee, assessing credit applications in line with the company’s credit policy. Typically this role will include collateral assessment, financial forecasting and the in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts. Deal size will typically range between £5m and £50m.
This is a role that will involve liaising closely with both the business development and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions and ensure there are effective processes in place. You will be able to display an in-depth understanding of financial accounting and it’s practical application in a business lending environment.
It is essential that the successful candidate has previous underwriting experience within this or a related industry and have the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information. Strong communication skills are required as you must have the confidence to support your view.
Given the nature of the role there will also be the requirement for occasional travel around the country.
