Sharief Healthcare Ltd sells Bristol pharmacy to first-time buyer
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of North Yate Pharmacy in Bristol.
North Yate Pharmacy is a modern, standard hour pharmacy which dispenses an average of over 6,300 items a month. It is located within Wellington Road Surgery in Yate, north Bristol.
The business was previously owned by Sharief Healthcare Ltd, an established pharmacy chain with over UK 50 sites in its portfolio. With its owners based in the North West, the company felt North Yate Pharmacy would be better suited to local owner.
Following a confidential sales process, the business has been sold to local first-time buyer, Mrs Pooi Chong.
Mrs Pooi Chong comments, “North Yate Pharmacy is my first pharmacy purchase, and I can’t wait start to grow and build on the business that already exists. I am looking forward to becoming the face of the business and developing the delivery of healthcare in the local area.”

Jonathan Board, director – medical at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I am very pleased to have sold the business to Pooi, who I’m sure will make a great success of this well-located pharmacy. North Yate Pharmacy is an excellent example of exactly what buyers are looking for in a pharmacy purchase – a good location, a healthy turnover but with room for growth. As with most corporate disposals where they are run under management, I’m sure there will be an uptick in trade for Pooi, as the new owner operator.

North Yate Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed amount.
