Shawbrook Bank provides Blue Sky Resorts with a £5.4m facility
Shawbrook Bank has provided Blue Sky Resorts Ltd with a £5.4m facility to fund the purchase Spring Willows Leisure Park in Scarborough from their former landlord.
After successfully leasing and operating Spring Willows for 11 years, Blue Sky Resorts now own the park outright and are investing in new facilities, including a leisure complex, and expanding the number of holiday homes on the site.
Trading for 14 years, Blue Sky Resorts now operates 5 parks across Yorkshire, Northumberland, and Scotland. With over 400 holiday homes under management and employing more than 35 people across the 5 sites and head office, Blue Sky Resorts continues to attract new customers by delivering excellent park facilities in picturesque settings.
After meeting the management team and spending time onsite, Shawbrook tailored a comprehensive loan facility at pace and delivered the required quantum.
Mark Alston, joint managing director of Blue Sky Resorts says:
“The funding support gives us not only the ownership of the sites but also the ability to invest, creating even better experiences for our customers. The guys at Shawbrook, were enthusiastic from the outset and took the time to meet with us and get to know the business and they were prepared to deal with the complexity of what we’ve been trying to achieve where others were not.”
Jonathan Rostron, regional managing director at Shawbrook Bank says:
“The team at Blue Sky are specialists in what they do and they know the areas in which they operate. Their attention to detail is extraordinary and commitment to delivering great experiences for their customers is superb. We look forward to seeing the Spring Willows site go from strength to strength.”
