Skipton Business Finance adds senior industry expertise
Skipton Business Finance (SBF) has appointed Stuart Mace as senior relationship manager, adding more than two decades’ commercial finance experience to its client management team.
Based in Birmingham, Stuart joins SBF from Aldermore Bank and brings 22 years’ experience across invoice finance and asset-based lending. His career has spanned both relationship management and credit risk, giving him broad experience of supporting businesses through a range of funding requirements.
In his new role, Stuart will manage a portfolio of clients and work closely with businesses to ensure their facilities continue to support their needs as they develop. He will also have underwriting responsibility across the South region, supporting both existing client facilities and new business opportunities.
The appointment comes as SBF continues to enhance its funding proposition and increase the breadth and scale of facilities available to UK SMEs.
Stuart said: “Skipton Business Finance has built a strong reputation in the market, and its ambitions for the future made this a particularly exciting opportunity.
“The funding landscape has evolved considerably during my time in the industry, and businesses increasingly need funders that can combine experience and flexibility with a strong understanding of their individual requirements.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to SBF, working closely with clients across the portfolio and contributing to the continued development of the business.”
Kim Hughes, head of ABL at Skipton Business Finance, said: “Stuart brings a strong combination of relationship management, credit risk and wider commercial finance experience, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team.
“It’s important that we continue to invest in experienced people who understand both the complexities of our clients’ businesses and the importance of structuring the right funding support.
“Stuart’s experience will add further strength to the team as we continue to enhance the funding solutions we can provide to UK businesses.”
