Snowball Alternative Finance appoints special advisors

Alternative finance consultancy business, Snowball Alternative Finance, has announced the appointment of three special advisors who join the company’s newly formed advisory board.
Mike Blackburn OBE, Lord Goddard of Stockport and Mike Smith each bring a wealth of experience and expertise and will be brought in, as appropriate, to deliver strategic guidance and business acumen to the Snowball board of directors and, most importantly, their clients.
Speaking about the appointments, managing director of Snowball Alternative Finance, Peter Black said, “The new advisory board forms an essential part of our strategic plans for growth and allows us to deliver a broader service and the right solutions.
“It became apparent very early on that clients are not just looking for finance; they require management advice too in specialist areas as well as access to contacts in different market sectors and our new advisory board will help to deliver this.”
Snowball Alternative Finance was launched in February this year by Mike, a former senior banker, and North West entrepreneur, Alwin Thompson having secured FCA approval.
Based in Cheshire, the company will assist SMEs looking to fund growth of their businesses. The company is fully independent with access to over 300 funders in the marketplace.
Snowball is currently talking to companies in a range of sectors including property development and management, manufacturing, financial services, technology, transport and e-commerce.
