S&W strengthens global IP advisory capabilities with new India office
S&W, the fast-growing professional services group, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in India, strengthening its global intellectual property (IP) advisory capabilities and supporting the continued growth of the firm’s specialist IP advisory practice.
The investment in India follows S&W’s acquisition of leading IP advisory firm ClearViewIP in September 2025 and represents the next stage in the firm’s strategy to build a market-leading IP advisory offering with international reach.
The new office in Gurugram, India expands the firm’s global capability by providing access to a strong pool of experienced IP professionals, enabling the team to build additional scale and resilience while enhancing support for its international client base. The India team will work closely with colleagues from across S&W.
Aligned to S&W’s values, culture and quality standards, the new office will strengthen delivery capability, support knowledge sharing and ensure a consistent experience for clients worldwide.
Led by globally recognised IP strategists Jon Calvert, Josue Ortiz Ramirez and Justin Delfino, the IP advisory offering helps organisations manage, protect and realise value from their intellectual property and other intangible assets. The practice combines expertise in IP, innovation and commercial strategy to support clients with growth, competitiveness and complex business decisions.
Opening the new office in India adds expert research and analytics capabilities to the IP advisory offering. The expanded team will support clients across the IP lifecycle, from strategy and portfolio optimisation to implementation and operational transformation, using technology and AI-enabled approaches to improve efficiency and decision-making. Clients will also benefit from access to wider S&W expertise spanning IP strategy, monetisation, transactions, valuation, consulting and business transformation.
